THEATRE ARTS
Summer Youth Musical Theatre Program (SYMTP) remains one of the most engaging project-based learning experiences for youth in the Globe-Miami-San Carlos community.
Enriching Children with Drama: Since 1997, we have enriched the lives of hundreds of children through our intensive theatre program. With a focus on drama, music, movement and stagecraft, local children are exposed to every aspect of theatre arts in a team building setting and perform for local schools and the general public, impacting 2000+ community members annually.
Serving a Broad Spectrum: We produce shows that focus on young children new to theatre, like Jungle Book Kids, and shows that challenge the highest level performer, like School of Rock and Les Miserables. Wherever our students are, we help them grow to the next levels in their craft and character. We are proud to share that many of our graduates have pursued the arts professionally.
Empowering Young Directors: One of our favorite things is to invite young people to join our directing staff, and in recent years, all of our shows have been directed by local young people who have graduated from our program. They not only bring their skills as performers and directing artists but also their love for the kids and their community. It is a powerful intersection of creativity and connectedness.
