Leslie Kang Kim, Executive Director
Leslie is passionate about raising up young people, no matter how small or unseen. She joined SYMTP in 2015 as Music Director but has since then focused on creating spaces of influence for young people in our region.
Stewart Kim, Director of Music and Theatre
Trained at USC and Berklee, Stewart is committed to sharing his love of music with our youth, especially through songwriting in music production and guitar. Growing up in rural Arizona has given him a special connection to kids who just need permission to be themselves.
Everett Cheng, Director of Art
Everett’s entry into Monsoon was through theatre when he was 12 years old, which grew into a passion for art that led him to Art Center in Pasadena and Europe for further training. He brings his gifts and his desire to share them, teaching workshops and mentoring young artists in our community.
Eden Baker, Teaching Artist and Supporting Director
Eden Baker brings her experience of working with special needs children in the local schools to our team. Her empathy and deep interest in each child’s well-being raises the bar for our program as her heart acts as a plumbline for our values.
